A 17th century beamed farmhouse in 4 acres of formal garden and grassland with a wealth of wildlife - ducks and moorhens on the moat, bats, owls and birdlife - in the heart of the Suffolk countryside stands ready to welcome you for a relaxed and quiet stay.
Located on the outskirts of a peaceful village just two miles north of the historic market towns of Stowmarket and Needham Market, Bays Farm also gives you quick and easy access to Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Cambridge, Norwich, and Newmarket. Stansted Airport is about 60 minutes away, and London under 2 hours by train from Stowmarket.
Guest Rooms
The Blue Room
The Blue Room overlooks the Japanese Garden with
delightful views to the east, over trees and fields. The antique Victorian
queen-size double bed is traditionally made with white cotton bed linen, pure
wool blankets and a superb silk bedspread. Retreat to your spacious en-suite
bathroom for a comfortable soak or relax in the comfort of the leather easy
chairs.
The Pink Room
The Pink Room has hand painted French country furniture
with a comfortable queen-size double bed facing south over the garden and moat.
With bowed ceiling, fireplace, its own en-suite shower room and modern facilities
it is a peaceful retreat.
The Cream Room
The Cream Room has an antique pine double bed overlooking the garden and moat.
This partially beamed, south facing bedroom has its own modern en-suite shower
facilities.
The Dining and Drawing Rooms
On arrival for afternoon tea or after dinner, guests can relax in the comfort
of the Victorian drawing room to read or listen to music and for breakfast the
beautifully beamed dining room makes for an excellent start to the day.

From Bury St Edmunds:
From the A14, leave at the Stowmarket junction (J50) and
follow the A1120 towards Stowupland. Go through Stowupland
and continue on the A1120 for 1 mile.
At a sharp left hand bend turn right into a small country lane
(signposted Broad Green).
Bays Farm is the first house on the right.
From Ipswich:
From the A14, leave at the Norwich/Diss junction
and follow the A140 towards Diss. Continue on this
road until The Stonhams. Turn left onto the A1120
towards Stowupland.
Pass through Earl Stonham with the Shepherd and
Dog public house on the right.
After about 1/4 mile there is a sharp right hand bend,
take the small country lane (signposted Broad
Green) on the left.
Bays Farm is the first house on the right.
TARIFFS & CONDITIONS
Our tariff includes full English breakfast.
Prices below are valid until March 31st, 2008 are based on double occupancy and are as follows:
Blue Room £75.00 per room per night, Pink Room £75.00 per room per night, Cream Room £65.00 per room per night. For single occupancy there is a £10.00 discount and further discounts may apply for 3 nights or more – please ask when booking.
Reservations & Deposits
Reservations are essential, as we do not accept callers at the door. To make
a reservation, please telephone or email us. Please confirm your booking by
credit card or cheque (£10 per person per night) within 5 days and we
will confirm via e-mail or in writing. Please make cheques payable to Bays
Farm. Deposits are non-refundable. Please try not to cancel a reservation at
the last minute as others may have been turned away.
Payment
We accept most major credit cards, but not Diners Club. A bankcard must guarantee personal cheques. We accept sterling travellers cheques but a current passport must support these. We are also able to accept cash in either pounds sterling or euro at the rate of exchange on the day of departure.
Cancellations
If you have to cancel we will try to re-let your accommodation but deposits are not normally refundable because of associated costs of making the booking and re-letting. If you would like more information about our cancellation policies please talk to us when making your reservation. Bookings are deemed to start at 16:00 on the day of your proposed arrival at Bays Farm.
Arrival & Departure Times
Arrival time for guests is preferably between 16:00 - 18:00 . Should you wish to arrive earlier or are running late, please telephone to let us know. Departure time is before 10.45am on the final day of your stay.
Children & Dogs
At present we are unable to accommodate children. Dogs are welcome by arrangement for a small charge and can stay in your room whilst supervised. Please discuss when making reservations.

The historical places of Norwich, Cambridge, Bury
St Edmunds and Constable Country are within easy reach of Bays Farm.
